Winter Break

So its official, its winter break! Being a teacher definitely has its perks - like winter break. But I have a problem, its only Monday and I am bored out of my mind!!! I know I shouldn't be complaining, but all I have done all day is lay around in my bed. I have been so busy the past couple of weeks, that I should enjoy doing nothing. But now I am soooo bored.

Luckily I just have to get to Thursday, because then I am going to PA to visit some of my friends from college! Which should be all kinds of fun! :-)

Snow Day!

I love snow days. I love how I get to sleep in. I love how I get to be a bum for a day. I love it all, except how I have to shovel!! And let me tell you we got WAY too much snow today (and as of now it is still snowing). When you step outside and it goes up to your knees - you know it is too much! Luckily while my sister and I were outside shoveling a nice kid from the neighborhood came and asked us if we wanted help. Ummm YES!! So he helped us shovel all the snow away. So nice of him. We gave him a couple of bucks for his help. It was so sweet of him to just offer to help. Who knew people still did things like that? That simple sweet gesture made my day!

Spirit Week

So this week is spirit week at school. Basically we have ridiculous days and you have to dress up and participate. Well I am a big loser and LOVE spirit week! I think it is so much fun to get creative and find ways to dress up in whatever it is that they want us too. Today was pretty boring, so sad. Today was backwards day. So all I could really think to do was wear my shirt and sweater backwards - oh and my name tag. Not really original, be really what else could I do. I would be so uncomfortable if I wore my pants backwards. I couldn't wear sweat pants. So today I was boring.

But tomorrow is in school snow day. So I am wearing white sweat pants, white shirt, white sweat shirt, wings, white winter hat and a halo. That's right I am going to be a snow-angel! I think its cute, and I have really cute snowflake earings to wear with it. Hopefully it comes out as cute as I imagine it to. :-) Hopefully I will be able to get picture to show you guys tomorrow!

Wednesday was another hard day.... its international day. I have a cute idea for that one too... its too hard to explain I will just have to show you a picture (if we even have school!).

Then Thursday is recycle day. I am going to make a skirt out of a paper bag, a shirt out of newspaper, then I am going to put my hair in pigtails and put them through plastic water bottles.

And finally Friday is PJ day! Love that day. Then I am off for a glorious week! I can't wait!

Super-Bowl Sunday

I am not a big football fan at all. Truth be told I never understood the game. I know how hard can it be, right? The guy catches the ball and runs to the other end of the field and the other team tries to stop them. It should be really simple. But for me, for some reason, it isn't easy at all! All I see are some guys in really tight pants running up and down the field. :-) So needless to say I only watch the Super Bowl for the commercials and usually the half-time show.

But this year I am really excited because there is a Law and Order SVU AND a Law and Order marathon on, all day!! So even though I have seen every episode, I can watch them again instead of watching a game I don't understand! That makes me so very happy! :-)

Best thing ever...

So this handy dandy invention saved me from going crazy yesterday!!

So I had to make over 300 cookies yesterday ( I might add that I didn't get to making them all I only made 257). And this lovely cuisinart made the whole process that much easier! It made the cookie dough in no time flat. It was awesome! Made me so happy. Not so happy that I had to make so many cookies but that is another whole story. LOL

Snow Day!

Can I tell you how much I really love snow days? I hate having to shovel the snow and all the mess that it makes, but I love the fact that I don't have to go into school. Now I love my job, I really do, but when you get an unexpected day off in the middle of the week, its like the best thing in the world!! Todays snow day was the best, the sun came out in the morning and melted all the snow so I didn't even have to shovel the snow! Wahoooooooo I was so excited when I got to sleep in today. I was even more excited to be able to stay in bed and snuggle with my dog all day. Lets talk about how wonderful that is. Sometimes its just the small things in life! :-)
